Background Dr. Clement Chukwuka Idegwu lectures at the Department of Languages, English and Literary Studies Unit, Faculty of Arts, University of Delta, Agbor, Delta State, Nigeria. He was born on 21st August 1963. He is married with children. He is from Alihame in Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State. He holds a Ph.D English 2014 from Ambrose Alli University Ekpoma, Edo State. He had his M.A. (English) 1999 and B. A. Ed. (English) 1994 from the University of Benin, Benin City Nigeria. In 1987, he obtained his National Certificate in Education (NCE) English/History from College of Education, Agbor, Delta State. He attended Gbenoba Grammar School, Agbor, and had his School Certificate in 1983. Clement Chukwuka Idegwu is the Vice Chancellor’s Representative at Owa-Alero Campus, University of Delta, Agbor, Delta State. The Campus is made of two Faculties; Faculty of Engineering and Faculty of Sciences. These Faculties consist of various departments. He is a seasoned writer, a novelist, poet and scholar. He is published in international and national journals such as Criterion and Asian Academic Research Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities. The Worst Devil on Stage and Other Stories (1997) is his first and published text. His other published works include The Procrustean Creed and Other Poems (1999), Broken Dreams (2000), Lilies That Fester (2000), Writing for Special Purpose (2004), My Precious Jewel and Other Stories (2009), Mooning Our World (2012) , Right to be Angry (2016), Bath of Blood and Other Stories (2017) and The Vale of Tears and Other Stories (2021). He has been published in Five Hundred Nigerian Poets, Volume one, edited by Jerry Agada. His Poems “Men for Worms”, “Cross-Examine” and “Life is a Tempest” have been published in the Best New Africa Poets 2021 Anthology Edited by Tendal Rinos Nwanaka. Life is a Tempest is his third collection of poems. “Occupy till I come” published in Best “New” African Poets 2022 Anthology Anthologies Des Meilleurs “Nouveaux” Poetes Africains 2022/ Antologia Dos, Melhores “Novos” Africanos 2022.
